David - been wanting to speak to you about many things, but life keeps me busy. Send me an email to ec20120@gmail.com. We can share contact info and talk about getting your oil pump rebuilt so your crankcase does not flood with oil anymore after sitting for a few weeks. I highly recommend that. Also, I have been looking for a frame for a WLA project and finally found someone who has a few correct WL / WLA frames to choose from. I will put you in touch with both people. Regards, Eric ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- After much investigation, discovery and consideration, I've decided to find a new frame for my WL. The one I have is an after-market frame, missing certain brackets and with some questionable specs. Most likely I will not have it on the road until the Fall. Does anyone have contact info for Eric Chiapponi (or Eric please respond)? Eric mentioned he had a contact who rebuilt/improved WL oil pumps and I'd like to get this person's contact info. Thanks David ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!! I was successful getting the heads off with some effort, and without breaking off any bolts!! It will be interesting to see how to get them back on as the motor mount is so tight. Maybe some filing/grinding of the top mount spacers and/or frame to give me some more room. I've attached a couple of photos of the tops of the cylinders for some opinions regarding condition. I will at least clean up the cylinders and lap the valves. Thanks David |
