Sorry to hear about Cliff and Gerry. I was not aware that Cliff had moved down south and was a member of the James River Chapter. I had met Gerry (Sarge) years ago at swap meets and road run and was always interesting and informative to talk with. He was knowledgeable on early Knuck and BT Flatties and was always willing to share info. He was responsible of the 36 Knuckle Registry and the Flathead only runs in Florida. He rode his 38 ULH everywhere and usually had the wife and dog in the side hack. Interesting guy and always willing to help out. Both will be missed and best wishes to their families and friends! Rollo ----- ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS ----- Former Highlands Chapter member Cliff Wicker passed away today. He had been suffering with a serious health problem for some time. That's all we know at the moment. -- Thanks to the James River chapter for the news. Chesapeake Chapter member Gerald Walter “Gerry” Lyons passed away on October 17. Gerry was one of the founding members of the Chesapeake Chapter (along with our own Bill Potter), and was instrumental in getting the Maryland MVA to issue Historic Motorcycle tags. -- Thanks to the Chesapeake Chapter for the news. P.S. Your editor still has Maryland Historic Motorcycle tag #33, from the first year (1980 I think). Thank you Gerry. |
